We’re super happy to kick off 2020 by welcoming the brilliant ustwo to Arnolfini on Wednesday 26th February.
ustwo is an independent design, technology, games and venture company with offices in London, Malmö, NYC, Sydney, Lisbon and Tokyo. Founded by best friends, ‘Mills’ & ‘Sinx’ in 2004, it has partnered with some of the world’s leading brands and has been nominated by Fast Company as one of the most important design companies in 2019. Seminal projects include Create with Google – a creative platform designed to reach millions of storytellers, Monument Valley — an indie puzzle game with mazes of optical illusions and impossible objects, Headed South – a game experience that helps people learn gesture-based technology through play and Alder Play – a digital patient experience that was designed to transform patient care for children and their families.
The business is divided into three distinct areas; in partnership with brands and organisations, they build digital products, services and immersive experiences that people love. Their games team creates award-winning entertainment with a focus on making what’s great about games accessible to everyone. ustwo Adventure invests in and supports the next generation of creative companies to help founders build lasting businesses with a strong culture and values.
WEDF are bringing all three aspects of the design-studio-turned-creative-group together for a fascinating peek behind the scenes. Senior Design Strategist Rachel Jones, Lead Games Artist Chris Cox, and Creative Technologist & Investor Neef Rehman will share a unique insight into their work, process, and how they weave creativity and experimentation into everything they do.
