We go there to meet our tribe, share our thoughts, emotions, ideas and… stories. No wonder business is rubbing shoulders with storytelling. Presented by Rachel Savage of Small is Beautiful Communications this session invites you to begin your adventure into storytelling and:

If you want to run a profitable agency – and avoid some costly mistakes – you need to make sure you understand the basics and don’t get caught out.

Jessica Bent, partner at Withy King Solicitors and an expert in legal issues for creative industries, will guide us through the all-important dos and don’ts. As well as running this workshop, Jessica is offering each participant a free phone or face to face 30-minute phone consultation following the workshop. It’s a must-attend session for anyone employing freelancers, long-term contractors or just wanting to get their house in order.

He’ll share insider tax tips and demystify everything from NI contributions’ to healthy bottom lines’. Really great listening comes with confidence. Confidence to ask questions, to sit with silence, to not assume, to dig deeper, to listen to what is unsaid. This short, fast paced taster breakfast session will help you question your own listening skills, your conscious awareness of how well you really listen with the aim of helping you become a better listener with colleagues, clients, staff and with yourself. Creating better communication, confident briefs and healthier working relationships.

Emma Collins is an experienced creative consultant and coach and has worked in the Design Industry for the past 14 years helping design agencies and creative organisations clarify their direction and grow their businesses. Emma was previously Managing Director of the award-winning design consultancy Home, Emma is a DBA Expert, has been an Associate at The Design Council, and was previously Chair of the West of England Design Forum. Emma is passionate about creative agencies raising their confidence, conscious leadership and seriously good listening.
